Microsoft Entourage 2008 Exchange Web Services Edition

Configuration Instructions

  1. Launch Microsoft Entourage.
  2. Click on Tools from the Toolbar and select Accounts.

  3. Click on the New button.
  4. Select Exchange for Account type and click OK.

    This will launch the Account Setup Assistant.

    • Enter your E-mail address as yournetid@ad.uiuc.edu.
    • Check the box next to My account is on an Exchange server.
    • Click the arrow button.

  5. Enter the following account information:
    • Domain: uiuc
    • Account ID: yournetid
    • Password: your Active Directory password
    • Check the box next to Save password in my Mac OS keychain

  6. Verify the following fields:
    • Your name: your name
    • E-mail address: yournetid@ad.uiuc.edu
    • Account ID: your netid
    • Domain: uiuc
    • Exchange server: https://exchange.cites.uiuc.edu/EWS/exchange.asmx
    • LDAP server: ad-dc-p4.ad.uiuc.edu (this can also be p1 or p2)

  7. Click the right arrow to continue.

  8. Verify settings.
  9. Click Verify My Settings.

  11. Once your settings have been successfully verified, click the right arrow to continue.

  12. Enter cites exchange as Account name
  13. Click Finish.

  14. If your settings are not automatically detected you can edit the account to manually configure it.
    • Account name: cites exchange
    • Name: your name
    • E-mail address: yournetid@ad.uiuc.edu
    • Account ID: yournetid
    • Domain: uiuc
    • Password: your Active Directory password

  15. On the advanced tab fill out the following:
    • Exchange server: https://exchange.cites.uiuc.edu/EWS/Exchange.asmx
    • Check the box next to This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
    • LDAP server: ad-dc-p4.ad.uiuc.edu (can also be p2)
    • Check the box next to This server requires me to log on
    • Click OK
