Microsoft Outlook 2007
Connecting to the Exchange Server with Outlook 2007
Before configuring your Exchange account in Outlook 2007, please download and install the Outlook autodiscover patch. Running this patch will ensure your Outlook 2007 configuration is set up correctly, whether or not your specific situation requires it. If this patch is not installed, you may experience problems with setting Out Of Office, Delegates, and synchronizing the Offline Address Book.
The first time you run Outlook 2007 the Auto Account Setup program will try to setup your connection to the Exchange system automatically. You will be prompted for the following information:
- Your Name: enter your first and last name
- E-mail Address: enter your netid@ad.uiuc.edu
- Password: Enter your UIUC Active Directory password

- Click Next and Outlook will autoconfigure your account.
If your computer is not a member of the UIUC Active Directory you will be prompted for your NetID and AD password:
- User name: Enter uiuc\netid
- Password: Enter your AD password
