Mail App on Snow Leopard (10.6)

Configuration Instructions

  1. Launch Mail.app.
  2. Click File.
  3. Click Add Account.
  4. Enter your Full Name.
  5. Enter your Email Address of yournetid@ad.uiuc.edu.
  6. Enter your Active Directory password.

    Account settings should be detected automatically.

    • Account Type: Exchange 2007
    • Description: Exchange
    • Incoming Mail Server: exchange.cites.uiuc.edu
    • User Name: yournetid
    • Password: your Active Directory password
    • Check the boxes next to Address Book contacts and iCal calendars

  7. Click Continue

    8. You will see a summary page.

  8. Click Create to finish seting up the account.

    9. If setup fails to detect your settings automatically you may be asked for more specific server information.

    • Internal Server Path: EWS/Exchange.asmx
    • Internal Port: 443
    • Check Use SSL
    • External Server Path: WS/Exchange.asmx
    • Internal Port: 443
    • Check Use SSL
